Go west and you will soon be heading for the north coastline of Wales and the beautiful town of Llandudno. Of course a little further North and you will be in the glorious Lake District. There you can go walking, visit Lake Windermere, enjoy Kendal mint cake and then go shopping in Winnie the Pooh’s shop. If you travel east you will be in the Penines and a little South East and you can spend the day in Worcester. From the preceding you will see just how centrally placed you will be, and as you are only paying for breakfast you can enjoy an evening meal in one of the local hostelries.
Chester
Chester is unique in having a shopping centre with a two-tier approach. The shops are on two levels with the upper level being balconied. The buildings reflect the character of the town and it is still full of wooden fronted buildings in the style you would have found many years ago. The cathedral is well worth a visit and the riverbanks should be walked. Just outside of the city there are many green areas where you can walk off that English breakfast. The city is well served by motorway access and travel around the city is easy with many car parks available. Even on Saturday the town centre is buzzing but with a slow pace of life. There are no football fans as Chester has fallen out of the top-level football clubs. What you have is a genteel town full of character and welcoming to its visitors.
