Insulation is likely to be extremely important during the winter, as is the form of heating you choose. For instance, under floor heating will heat a room far more evenly than any radiator could, whilst the most luxurious fire in the world will be ineffectual if you are sitting next to a draught.
A few simple changes in how you heat and insulate your home can make a major difference, and ensuring you have the right decor to make the house simply appear warm is also very important. Always start with the bathroom as without the right warmth there, you will never truly feel comfortable in your home.
