TV duo Trinny and Susannah have claimed that ladies’ fashion in western Australia is the most impressive in the country.
The pair, who are clothing advisors, presenters and authors, have been filming their Fashion Therapy tour.
During the hour-long programmes, the experts in women’s clothes pick out four females who they deem to be good examples of style. They also select the same number of people to have a fashion revamp.
Speaking to the Weekender, Trinny said that it had been harder to find individuals wearing bad examples of bad ladies’ fashion in Perth than it had elsewhere in the country.
She stated: “We have noticed how much better people are dressing and how much more is available in the shops here, particularly stores like Portmans and Witchery.
“The high street stores have really upped the anti designing for a much bigger range of body shapes, so it’s much easier for us to find great clothes.”
Meanwhile, Susannah remarked: “Judging by the audiences, I would say Perth women are the best dressed (we have seen on this tour) so far.”
Commenting on the fact that she and her fellow expert on women’s clothes have been forced to come up with new and more innovative concepts for TV shows in order to compete with the raft of new talent on the screen, she claimed she does not mind.
She added: “It confirms the fact that we started something great and that is flattering. We like to push the envelope and to be the first to do anything.”
The presenter went on to reveal that the pair enjoy keeping their careers fresh and, in the UK, they have come to the “end of the road” for the old makeover format.
She noted they have been doing it for ten years.
